Holocaust Museum at Ridge on Channel 12 News
Congratulations to our Ridge students that participated in the Holocaust exhibit this week. Our local Channel 12 News picked up the story.
Students turned the Lakota Ridge Junior School gym into a Holocaust museum. The exhibit features more than 100 displays.
It focuses on everything from what led up to it and key war criminals and victims, to the methods the Nazis used to kill six million Jews and others -- like those who were mentally impaired or homosexual.
The goal was to give students a deeper understanding of what life was like for those living through that point in history.
Language Arts teacher Noelia Brunner recently won a district award for this project.
